This film, which is being directed by Australia's most respected filmmaker - Dennis O'Rourke - will examine and celebrate the idea of poetry and the part it plays in the culture of contemporary Australia.

As Dennis says, Australian poetry is 'legendary'. From Banjo Patterson to Peter Garret to the new breed of slam poets, Australia is defined by the words we write, speak, sing or slam.
