We Love a Sunburnt Country will be an online community where Australians share their poetry.

It will be a unique arena which will evolve into an interactive society, a community, a soapbox and church in which the devoted seek to (re)create to the oldest of arts - POETRY.

Our site is geared towards poetry of all styles and forms. Poetry can be spoken, written, sung, animated and filmed. Sometimes it rhymes, sometimes it doesn't. Even limericks are welcome here!

We'll provide tools to help you create, share and collaborate on written, audio and visual forms of poetry.

We're creating homes for Bush poetry, Slam poetry and Schools poetry. And thats just the start. As we grow we're going to add new communities; you can even create your own community!

Poetry is serious. Serious fun! We're going to have regular competitions and challenges for members, with great prizes! We'll also have loads of great ways to experience and explore everyone's poetry; podcasts, rss feeds, featured poets (it could even be you!) and more.

We Love a Sunburnt Country will be launching in 2007 so please be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of our launch.

Anyway, this gives you plenty of time to start thinking of a word that rhymes with orange.
